Margo dug her roots in direct marketing 25+ years ago, learning from the industry's pioneers and visionaries. Thanks to this deep training, it is second nature for Margo to deliver plans and programs that seek to yield strong measurable results, a carefully projected return on investment and the challenging, time-sensitive goals of her clients. Throughout her career, she has served a broad mix of blue chip brands, major organizations, small and mid-size companies, and worked at some of the most prestigious advertising agencies in the business. One of the true experts in direct marketing, Margo also has a solid foundation in branding, fundraising, promotions, event marketing, entertainment, CRM, multi-cultural marketing, database management/analytics and digital marketing. Before joining A-Team Advisors, Margo was president of BackLot Marketing Solutions, where she helped build profit and relationships for clients as diverse as AOL, Visiting Nurse Services, Nantucket Film Festival and CARAT. Prior to that, Margo was General Manager of Exposed Brick, an integrated advertising and interactive agency in Manhattan where she worked closely with Reader's Digest, Primedia, and numerous internet start-ups. Earlier, she was an independent consultant, serving NYC's top advertising agencies and clients like American Red Cross, Columbia Business School, American Express and DeBeers. Earlier in her career, Margo held the position of senior VP, account director at Grey Direct, with responsibility for Chase Manhattan Bank, the agency's largest account. She also held senior management positions at Brann/Blau and at Richebourg Marketing, a cable television industry consultancy. As a founding member of Draft New York, Margo helped launch the multimillion-dollar HBO account. Throughout her career, Margo has won numerous direct marketing, cable television and image advertising awards. Margo has had instrumental roles on countless agency new business pitches, made sense of cumbersome communications programs, helped clients to find the right agency or vendor, nurtured the development of successful client/agency/partner relationships, and rolled up her sleeves to manage the strategy and execution of difficult communication programs. Margo holds a B.S. in Communications from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, and has completed graduate-level courses at Columbia Business School, Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management and University of Denver. She lives in Westchester County, NY, with her husband, two children and cat. When not working, Margo enjoys biking, skiing, music and fundraising for various charities. |
