Richard has a unique experience history in large and small companies, startups and turnarounds. In both high-tech and creative businesses, he has taken companies from inception, built strong operational and financial foundations and helped grow them profitably. Most recently, he was brought in at the beginning stage of Nitro's move into the US. With his leadership as CFO & VP Operations, Nitro put the infrastructure, systems, procedures, and team culture in place to take the company to double digit millions in billing and double digit percent pretax profitability in less than two year. In his over 25 years of experience, he has also led the negotiation and completion of acquisitions and divestitures and has lived through enough of them himself to understand the strategic, management, and cultural focus necessary for them to succeed. Richard is profoundly aware that in today's business world strong, high performing teams will drive success. Developing those teams and helping them succeed both as a team and individually is one of his great pleasures. Born, bred and a die-hard New Yorker, Richard lives in Tribeca. He is a founder and chair of Tribeca Organization, a post 9/11 nonprofit dedicated to renew and sustain the economic and cultural vitality of the community. He is also on the board of ZazAngels, a nonprofit working to raise money for A.L.S. research ("Lou Gehrig's Disease"). Richard has a BA in Psychology from Cornell University and an MBA from NYU in Computer Applications & Information Sciences. His wife Judith is an artist whose work never ceases to amaze him and his dog Huck lives the good life. |
