Marketer/Agency
Relationship Management

A good client / agency relationship results in benefits for all concerned. There will be less hassle and frustration, deadlines are more likely to be met, there will be fewer re-do's and re-start's, the agency will do better work, the client will save money and you might even have some fun.

Good, effective business relationships are not about the client's marketing director and the agency's management supervisor being best friends. In fact that friendship can get in the way of a business relationship. It starts with agreed upon goals and objectives and a clear understanding of exactly what each party's responsibilities and expectations are. It works when there is constant, honest communication and the right processes and procedures are in place and followed. It succeeds when all parties at least like working together and have mutual respect.

As simple as that appears, it requires vigilant and unwavering management by both parties. And it often requires some outside help.
